SEO Copywriting Tips – How to Increase your Website Traffic
Posted on 22. Dec, 2009 by Lyz in blog, seo
It’s no secret these days to most website designers that there is a great need to incorporate the fundamentals of SEO marketing into your web copy. This is in order to increase your website ranking as well as improve overall visibility and ease of navigation for the web browser. There are a few mistakes that are common when trying to work in this SEO copy, which is why taking the time to go over a few basic SEO copywriting tips can be worthwhile. This will help improve the overall business potential of the website.
Perhaps the most important thing to remember is that if the copy is out there on the internet, someone could be reading it. Too many writers and web designers will create pages that link to their site that are filled with grammatical errors and an overabundance of keywords and phrases, which can end up looking like gibberish. This is an unprofessional and misguided way of overusing SEO copywriting tips and ending up with a poor result. In fact, if the keyword density level is too high, or if the search engine feels that the web page is written only with searching in mind, the site could be flagged. This happens more frequently than many realise, and it would really defeat the whole purpose.
A general rule of thumb that should be taken into consideration along with SEO copywriting tips is to shoot for a keyword density of anywhere in between 1 and 5 percent. This will vary, depending on what the keywords are. You should strive to incorporate a few main search terms and then back these up with lesser-searched terms and phrases as well, to give a rich tapestry of internet copy that will be picked up by the casual internet searcher out there.
The importance of titles and headings should be in the front of your mind as well when writing this SEO-driven copy. These parts of the document have a stronger weight than the body of the articles, so one of my top SEO copywriting tips would be to pay some attention to these. Make sure that the title is catchy, and something that would spark a reader’s interest in the first place. With that in mind, then try to incorporate a keyword or other search term into the title or subheading as well. This helps reinforce your message, as well as drive up the SEO ranking of your website, all at the same time!

-You can’t really put it any more straightforward than that.
Interesting, (at least the bits I could make out easily). I am afflicted with color blindness (tritanopia to be precise). I mostly use Konqueror browser (no idea if that makes a difference), and much of this webpage is hard for me to read. I know it is my problem to deal with, in truth, nonetheless it would be kind if you would consider color blind visitors while carrying out the next web page design.
