Twitter To Provide Real-time Search Results for Google & Bing

Bing recently announced that it was adding Twitter to its search engine and now Google has revealed that it too is adding Tweets to its search results.
From Google’s blog:
“We believe that our search results and user experience will greatly benefit from the inclusion of this up-to-the-minute data, and we look forward to having a product that showcases how tweets can make search better in the coming months. That way, the next time you search for something that can be aided by a real-time observation, say, snow conditions at your favorite ski resort, you’ll find tweets from other users who are there and sharing the latest and greatest information.”
Both search engines are moving towards real-time search and Google’s ‘Caffeine’ update is also reported to favour those sites that have regularly published, up-to-date content. Even Twitter itself has moved its previously hidden search function to its home page – an indication of how the importance of real-time search has increased. The advantage is clear, real-time results are more relevant.
